 For over ten years my husband and I have been making award winning homemade wines. Our passion for great food and wine inspired us to use our aged wine barrels for barbeque grilling and backyard fire pits. The smoky and sweet characteristics of the wine-infused oak barrels add a fantastic flavor to everything we put on the grill. Our family and friends loved our barbeques so much we decided to make our way of life our business too!
California Wine Chips are manufactured by my family using oak barrels from our winery in the beautiful California Central Coast Wine Country of Paso Robles. California Wine Chips are flavor enhancing grilling chips made from 100 % recycled American and French Oak wine saturated barrels, which have been used in the aging process of fine wines. Upon completion of the aging process, the five to seven year old barrels are hand selected for recycling and are then chipped and packaged.
California Wine Chips can be used with smokers, charcoal barbecues and gas or electric grills. Simply add them to the fire while cooking to enhance the flavor of any meal. The slow, consistent burn and wine-infused smoke enhance the flavor of any type of food that you might like from the grill. Our grilling chips provide uniform smoking consistency and impart a delicious, distinctive smoky toast flavor to grilled meats and vegetables. Unlike a lot of smoke flavoring products on the market, California Wine Chips are remarkably refreshing and not overpowering. They are slow burning and add that delicious, aromatic quality of wine infused oak to any meat or seafood we put on the grill.
In addition to making a great meal, California Wine Chips are an environmentally friendly way of dealing with a by-product of the winery.
